THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! What a fun weekend at Northstar this last weekend in Feb. While we were not without our ‘challenges’ – InterState 80 closed for an accident which delayed our arrival at the Sands/Reno until 3:15 AM, a ‘crunch’ over a snowboard , a young skier that had just a wee bit too much liquid refreshment (!) – enuff said, this was one delightful trip.

From the moment we arrived in San Jose to park the car, to our departure late Sunday evening, your members could not have been more gracious and welcoming. Un-believably organized from start to finish, it was a true pleasure to be a part of this weekend.

With members ranging in age from late 20’s to early 80’s, there was something for everyone. Delicious, lovingly prepared food, beverages galore and enough snacks for the next trip!

As a non-skier, I cannot talk about snow conditions, lifts, trails, etc., however, as far a genuine hospitality – “great to excellent – packed powder’.

I’d like to arrive on the BART to the El Cerrito Community Center. Is anyone in the area going to be close to the two BART stations and would like to offer a ride? I see El Cerrito Norte and El Cerrito Plaza BARTs are about a mile from the center. Chuck (Trip 3 Northstar)

@Eugene,
1. That is the cost per person, double occupancy (either one king bed or two full sized beds per room). If you want a room for yourself, it would be at an additional cost.
2. See prices above (the info has been updated).
3. We have permission to park at the El Cerrito Community center and when we park there we ask the El Cerrito police department for extra patrols. Directions are located here: http://www.niseiskiclub.org/trips/
Yes, we drop you off where we pick you up.
4. There is dinner on the bus on the way back. It will be a cold dinner.

re: Trip #4.
1. Is the cost per person? for a single is it for a single room or for doubling up?
2. Lift ticket price: How would the group rate work for me (73)?
3. Bus ride: I live in San Francisco. Is there safe weekend parking at El Cerrito? I assume the bus stops there on the way back?
4. Return trip: no mention is made of dinner or a food stop on the way back. Is the idea to fill up before boarding, to bring something along,or is there a food stop at Sacramento?
