A small group of 16 people attended our NSC “Lord of the Samurai” private tour at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum on Sunday Sept 13, 2009. We were mesmerized by beautiful samurai armor, words, tsuba, firearms, lacquerware, teaware, scrolls, silkscreens, and more as our docent explained specific pieces in each of the Samurai exhibition rooms. The exhibit was a great cultural experience for us to learn about the Samurai and their place in Japanese history. I’m glad we were able to see this exhibit before it left San Francisco!
