The Nisei Ski Club (NSC) is a non-profit organization founded in the late 1950’s by a group of Japanese-American Nisei (second generation) skiers interested in promoting the sport of skiing/snowboarding, friendship and fun within the community. The current membership consists of Japanese Americans (Nisei, Sansei, Yonsei) as well as other Asians and Non-Asians.

Membership

Our membership annually consists of ~100 members. While the majority of our members reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, we also have members from Southern California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, New York, and Hawaii.

Winter Activities

During the winter months, Nisei Ski Club concentrates on skiing and snowboarding. Each year, we organize a week long ski trip. Past trips have been to resorts such as Jackson Hole, Whistler/Blackcomb, Aspen, Telluride, Vail, Sun Valley, Sun Peaks, and Lake Louise.

Summer Activities

During the summer months, NSC has a variety of summer activities such as pickleball (very popular), Mahjong classes, bike rides, hikes, annual membership/Hawaiian luau picnic, and bowling.

Charitable Activities

NSC is proud to have members volunteer their services for various non-profit organizations as well as recognize worthy organizations that can benefit from monetary donations.
